DiskWarrior is a utility program designed from the ground up with a totally different approach to preventing and resolving directory damage which is the leading cause of Mac instability. Diskwarrior 5 is now the one utility program that solves all of the common problems you'll likely encounter on your mac. Just look at these new features: 64-bittoday's large disks can have large directories. Using the latest 64-bit technology allows diskwarrior 5 to handle even the largest disks.ships on a bootable flash drive to repair your. Alsoft's support technicians are data recovery specialists and know disks and disk directory structures inside and out. In the rare situation in which DiskWarrior can't recover your data automatically from a Mac formatted disk, their technicians can usually remotely recover your data and get you back up and running. Question: Q: I tried installing Yosemite from 10.6.8 and the install failed. Ran a check and disk needs repai but 'repair disk' isn't an option (greyed out). Can't start up under old 10.6.8 because it says 'could not gather enough information.'
I have an 8 G USB thumb drive that has DiskWarrior 4.4 installed. It is bootable. It works fine with my 2009 iMac w/ 10.10.2 Yosemite.
I recently purchased an early 2014 MacBook Air, also with 10.10.2.
On the Air I can select the USB as the startup disk after restart and option key. After this the screen just appears to freeze with the Apple logo and does not progress. Any ideas how to fix this. I love DW as my go-to application for routine preventive maintenance.

Any ideas why the thumb drive works with the iMac but not the Air? Thanks!
